How can you effectively use Ebay to make money or start a business and use Ebay to sell things?

Psyclone asked:

How can you optimize your time on ebay and corner a part of the market. And are there any crafts/things you can make and sell? Thanks in advance

    Perfect formula:

    1. Specialize in something (I specialize in computer parts)
    2. Scour the “Job Lots and Wholesale” category, looking for a bargain.
    3. Research what you have bought, fix items up and list separately, making yourself look as official as possible.

100% feedback on over 100 items is worth a lot! Make sure you keep your customers happy!!

Ebay can be very rewarding..but also can be a pain. HA. You can put in as much or as little time as you want. If you are a full time employee elsewhere then maybe a few hours in the evening or on the weekend will be enough. You can sell almost anything you want. There are a few guidelines and I don’t remember what is on the no-no list. I have seen lots of craft things on ebay. If you have a certain talent and would like to put this up for sale then go for it.
Remember tho you are charged a fee to list. Once and item is sold then you are charged a % of the sale amount.
People sale all manner of used things - from cloths dishes - etc.
Also, I would invest in a heavy duty postal scale (I bought mine from another ebayer for about 40 dollars) You want to make sure you charge enough for postage or you can loose money.
